Continuing the Emma And Ash sketchbook.

A mix of two different times.

The pencil for this was from very early on - ( '96 ?) trying to figure out proportions and the whole style i wanted for this story. i realized with this sketch that a too cartoony style would distract from the rather dramatic mood i wanted.

The inks are from around '14 - '16. Moving forward with the current style i wanted to see what some of my old ideas would like cleaned-up - just to make sure i was going the right direction and... just cuz.

So here we have Emma and Ash, behind them Teesha (or Chaser), Emma's assistant Walker, and Governor Dellin's secretary Hestaphia. The Vulpine Empire controls vast colonial regions around the world, and the tiger elite troops usually accompany their colonial expansion - with this guy the cartoony approach failed the style i wanted big time. Behind him are a cougar and a bear just for size ref - no characters from their tribes feature prominently in this story, but their tribes are there on this continent - part of the backstory.
