Bio: Born in Viridian, James, or Jimmy to Serena, had been a rather quite boy while in school. He and Serena became good friends when they first met, helping each other out as best as they could, especially when it came to other Mon making fun of them. Back then, both were seen somewhat as outcasts. But, when freshmen year came, after working out for so long to lose his ‘puppy fat’, his father presented him with a Fire Stone as a present and he evolved, nearly fainting once he saw himself. Needless to say, when he got into high school, he was turning quite a few heads alongside Serena, her having evolved as well. The two started to go out, though not long after, James moved to Cinnabar to live with grandparents for a bit, and has only recently come back. Though he didn’t expect it, he was given a scholarship to PCA and has decided to move into the dorms after hearing word that a certain someone might be there.
Battle tactics: James has practiced Tae-Kwan-Do quite a bit (part of his exercising), and applies it to his battling. He often opens up with a Sunny Day to enhance his fire abilities while also opening up Solarbeam for easy launching. Far away, James either launches a Flamethrower or Dark Pulse, depending on the situation. While up close, James will often use his fighting style to brutal effect, often adding fire to add to the damage inflicted. He will also launch a Fire Blast when they’re up close to for a higher chance to hit. If necessary, with a snap of his fingers, he’ll bring up a Safeguard to protect himself from status effects while launching a Confuse Ray or a Will-o-wisp. If necessary, he’ll use Extrasensory, especially against fighting-types, as well as Substitute if a situation isn’t looking that good.

Anyway, I quite like your writing style. Conventional but not stereotypical; simple but not cliche'd. Might pay if you add a bit more detail though; like appearence and a bit more detail regarding your characters' personality.
