Sometimes life can be pretty hard. *sets her chin* I would never blame it on "the world". No. "The world" is pretty awesome, beautiful, full of more wonders than any of us will likely be adventurous enough or ever live long enough to see.

Some people though, some people make it seem so very ugly. Cruel people, petty people, people stained by the ugliness of spirit which can only begin to be satiated by spreading their misery and fear to others not possessed of these qualities in their eyes. Hate. terror and pain always flow like water, downhill to poison the joy in others.

With life being pretty hard right now for many folkes out there, I thought it might be nice for us all to take a trip back to ponyville with mi familia, mi esposa,  Sanita_Squirrel our son, Edgar Vincent and now, our little girl, Amber-Santiago. Let's all just relax those shpincters for a minute, Breathe in that wind and recall what we have in life, the beautiful things that all too often we take for granted.

If nothing else, no matter how the world might look to you right now, remember- you are alive. The sun rose today and it will rise again tomorrow- and every day is another chance to change this world for the better.


I love my family. I love my friends. Satan's wings, I enjoy the hell out of a decent burrito. Things aren't perfect and they likely never will be but for right now, that love is more than enough to remind me of how wondrous it all can be- for just a little while.
