I went to Montreal's airport to take pics of landing aircrafts, there's a road section that is fairly close to the runway. Aircraft at landing are flying very low...No need to say it was loud.

He's probably at least 300 feet or so- even if it really doesn't look it. If he's on the ILS, that's a 3 degree glide slope. So for every mile from a thousand feet down the runway is 300 feet up to be on glide slope. So if you're a mile away, he's at least 300 feet, 2 miles he's 600 feet and so on. Still, 300 feet is pretty low!
