Sometimes Malina has to go so far as to upload herself into cyberspace in pursuit of a bounty! Doing so, of course, comes with unique risks and dangers...
Atlas, the notorious hacker, had alluded capture repeatedly by escaping into the ether, but Malina was not one to give up easily! She had entered cyber space before and was used to the feeling. It buzzed and sparked and then she was whole again: not terribly unlike teleporting.
She found herself loaded into a flat, empty zone and stood for a moment scanning the area for signs of activity. Unbeknownst to her, however, she was being watched! Atlas had never entered the program and had simply set up a trap to trick pursuers into playing right into his clutches!
He had set up a lone building tucked away on a small, barely-inhabited moon. Anyone who went inside would find an impressive multi-screened computing array and a large digitizing pad already switched on and glowing softly, luring them in like moths to a flame!
Now that Malina had fallen for his clever ruse, Atlas could do with her as he pleased!
“Oh, how sad, little hunter! You’re in there, and I’m out here and… Oops! Someone’s unplugged the portal and there’s no connections available! Hahaha!”
Malina couldn’t hear him, of course, only the sound of static in the distance. It felt like a light wind was blowing; the flow of data within the digital world…
Atlas moved his cursor and drew a box around the wolf displayed on his screen. He held his finger down and read the text box that appeared on his right.
Selected Item:
T6 Wanderer Armor comprised of a black refined Ferozium suit overlaid with green Solarium plates.
Intel:
It is extremely durable yet still exceptionally comfortable to wear. It protects from radiation and exposure to extreme temperatures via the built in Environmental Protection Pack and also features an axillary battery which can be used to power ranged weaponry and tech. The Chest Guard and Gantlets contain strength enhancing devices that push the wearer’s physical output to 360%. The Trousers and Boots have special tech installed that allow the wearer to dash at high speeds for a short time and boosters that provide short bursts of downward thrust for up to three mid-air jumps.
“Hmmm, very impressive… Let’s just get rid of this pesky old thing!” Atlas chuckled, dragging her suit right off her body and into a private folder! “There, much better!”
Malina stood with one hand on her hip and the other across her breasts. “I feel a draft…” she whispered, not yet processing the loss of her suit and the fact that she now stood in only her under shorts!
