in my opinion thrawn would probably win with all of the training he's had and because he studied the ways of the jedi and the sith

Very true, but while Thrawn is a competent combatant in his own right, his true forté lies in his tactical know-how and deploying the nessesary tools and resources to either deal witgh said issue or probe for further information, knowing how to play the long game and making educated guesses and assessing risks and gambling the odds on his terms and even manipulating the enemy with subterguge and always staying a step ahead...or in his words "A step aside" and having contingencies if some of his plans do not go how he had predicted.

This is why I love thrawn as a character. He has a depth of character and complexity while alao not letting ego get in the way.
