I decided it was high time i re-do an old picture in my gallery: http://zer0dram0n.deviantart.com/art/Hope-70262579
it's Blind, in Grey. he doesn't have his blindfold on, which is silly of me, since normally he goes berserk without it but OH WELL. aparently this mission is of utmost importance and requires proper visual skills.
i'll be selling prints of this at AC, i think.

IN A WORLD....Of misery and corruption, walks a victim of Grey, destined forever to spread the message of hope.
When I saw this, I was like "Hey that looks really familiar, but I like how the two could be placed side-by-side, where Blind could be writing the message in two different places at two different times.
Basically, awesome.

This is incredible to me in so many ways. When I was in Iraq the walls along certain streets were covered in graffiti. Most of it was banter between the US and insurgent forces, each side tagging over the last thing said by the other. Toward the end of my deployment a new kind of graffiti was starting to spring up-- the locals were making their own tags. "Peace is coming soon" was the translation of one of them. And then entire walls were being pained over and turned into murals...it was amazing.
I'd like to think it was all started by some courageous local who scribbled on one of those walls something similar to what we see here :)
