I read that when someone linked to the journal in a discussion after the 20th, and facepalmed so hard at whatshisface's ranting that I left marks from my glasses. (One of the drawbacks of needing vision correction and not being able to stand contact lenses.)
As an aside, I find it somewhat amusing that one of the accusations against Christians is how we're supposedly living in the past, but stuff that happened centuries ago and is nowadays considered to have been a bad idea, is the first thing they cite for how "evil" Christianity is. Not that today's Christianity is perfect, mind you, but if we're living in the past, why do those objecting keep on bringing up events from centuries ago instead of today's Christianity?
(Rhetorical question, of course.)

I'm starting my own religion!
No heaven or hell, or pirates and hooker factories..
But whenever you behave nicely to someone, you get a GOLD STAR and an ice-cream cone!
Of course, it does mean the good die young, of obesity. But it makes being fat a sign of being a good person!
Anyway, I imagine people would just focus on the ice-cream part.

This is the moment I am happy to be a Buddhist. Since Buddhism technically is not a religion so I am free to worship gods from other faith/philosophy. XD
Hell, Chinese Mythology even give Lord Buddha "Godhood" and make him a totally over-powered figure in "Journey To The West".
I am a Furry with interest in History. And people accused me as "Politically motivated" for being aware of History and world event. Does that make me one of these nasty example of Furry + Politic?

So I'm supposed to be on the Christian side just because rather than being hung and stoned in a soccer stadium, I'll just get dragged by a pickup and beaten to death against a fence post?

And no, of course you can't be in the middle of this or any issue or even try to compromise because then you're a Goddamn "Rino," or "spineless sell-out." And then there's no place for you in the real world...
