In my opinion it’s simmilar to dogs actually. But you have to remember that they need their daily amount of heat and UVB light, so I guess free roaming would be good for handling time only. You know, let him go around the house and explore for an hour or two. Especially if you aren’t able to make an outside enclosure for it so it can soak the sun outside ✨
