Hope you had an opportunity to see him in concert before he passed. He put on a good show.

I did, back in the early 90's. I must have been about 16, and more interested in the girl next to than the show.

I actually met Dio at a CD signing in Los Angeles.

The line of people was out in the parking lot, and people were filing past Dio who was seated at a table in the store.

He thought it was taking too long, and so he got everybody out of the store, and hung out with each and every person out in the parking lot. He made sure every person got a signature, and a hand shake.

He was a fantastic guy.

Fantastic tribute piece. He was one of my favorite vocalists. No one could sing with as much power as he could.

I had gone to the service. I wasn't able to get a seat within the hall, but they had large screens and seats set up outside for the overflow of people that showed up to pay their respects.
