Cervelet shows up to give us absolute, unadulterated perfection.Well.. okay, so the building could not take this much perfection.
But... let's be honest Philo herself is about 500 Kg and that dress could not be anything more than 30 kg.
So the building just could not hold all the perfection of Philomela. Let alone the improvements.

eh... 1920s alluminum was... hard to work with. And in WWI it was the death of many people, for it was much more brittle and far less durable than steel, especially when mass produced under stressful conditions such as those of war. So WWI veterans (such as the canon creator of Philomela) really did not like alluminum, despite being so light, and really liked the "weight" of steel.
