Usally if your in a room like this your A) foaming at the mouth or B) trying to smash your own head inwards sleep is usually the last thing on an empty mind

So I'm curious about these photos... are they all from the same building? If so, was it an old asylum? What happened to it?

For the most part its part of a larger colony. It is an asylum. And cost mostly. Alot of places close due to cost or patient comfort and such. IE abuse.

It's all very interesting... most of these photos have such a sad and melancholy feel, makes you wonder about the stories behind them.

I assume that all this destruction happened after it closed? Due to vagrants or something? It's hard to believe the place was in this condition before it closed due to cost/abuse/etc.
