Second part of the Bergfresser anatomy sheet.
The Bergfesser's internal maze is a bunch of fleshy tubes and chambers running through the entire body, front to back. It's kinda like blood vessel but instead of blood it allows the 'exogenous inhabitants' (aka any ingested animal ) to travel through the body. They fulfill a symbiotic function by breaking down food further and spreading it across the tubes. Allowing the Bergfresser's body to conserve energy of having to do all of that itself. As a result there is next to no peristaltic movement inside Berg.
The immuno-amoeba are similar to white blood cells, albeit much larger and more versatile. They also use the tunnels to get around. Any left-over indigestible stuff is collected and dumped inside the lower intestines, where it is then excreted. And a slightly grosser fact, aside from indigestible remains Bergfresser poop consists mostly of matter from those very amoebas. With the approximate consistency of Nickelodeon slime. I won't draw it, but feel free to use your imagination. :]
The immuno-amoeba also attack anything that poses a threat to the Bergfresser's body. While the regular digestive fluid doesn't harm animals, those amoeba can and will suffocate you if you mess with Berg's body. It's possible they were once separate animals that entered a permanent endo-symbiotic relationship with the Bergfresser species, mitochondria style.
