it's a not-quite-life-sized jolteon. derp.

made with minkee, white grizzly faux fur, felt (for the eyes), and a plastic safety nose.

originally Jade asked for a jolteon in a curled up pillow-y position, but for some reason my brain just can't work itself around non-symetrical patterns. so i had to go with a different kind of laying down pillow pattern.

i'm pleased with how it turned out, but i did run into problems with the ears and tail/butt spikes. i started off using iron on interfacing in the ears, but it didn't give them the level of stiff-ness i wanted, so i sewed in some extra-thick cardboard backing. and that... also did not work. so after they were attached to the head i opened the ears and removed it, and put in craft foam instead. it works much better, but because of the large ear size, they're somewhat floppy.

i learned from this and used a cross stitch base for the tail spikes, so they're flexible as well, but retain a certain level of spikey-ness.
