9. Sleepyhead

Sleepyhead lives in another dorm within the neighborhood. Since his voicemail greeter says “you have reached Sleepyhead…” we tend to use that nickname.

Sleepyhead volunteers for the social worker’s association at our college. He’s incredibly sociable, able to meet new people and get along with them like old friends within minutes. Because of this charisma, he keeps a diverse and wide group of friends.

And perhaps owing to his rotund and heavy build, Sleepyhead wears short-sleeved clothes at all times, only relunctantly putting on a beanie hat during the coldest days. Even so, he’d eat ice creams in the middle of winter. Another quirk of his is his enormous headphones, which he wears around his neck at all times. He claims to be a music aficionado, but no one’s seen him actually put on his headphones or connect them to a player. It might be a high-tech wireless model or just an expensive piece of accessory. Who knows.

Sleepyhead recently found a girlfriend. He’s trying hard to lose weight, but so far it hasn’t paid off. This doesn’t seem to bother him very much.
