I might think of continuing this as well. I would say she gives temporary control to Shadow but the voice and body doesn't change nor does the eyes. Other than that. I would say you could have Maia use Shadow in any way you want. Even if you want to make an icon out of this XD
I did think of a fusion with Shadow and Maia on a point when they both face a foe that would require them to fuse. Other than that, I kind of want to throw my human into a situation as well. But first as you said it won't be a fused all the time. I think what would be for a while they would pull pranks on each other by leaving various berries on each other's places.
