It was Halloween when Kat decided to meet up with a friend of his, as the sky turned into an orange glow from the setting sun, Kat continued talking with one of his faithful companions- Wingy the Winged Kuriboh. Kat adjusted his bracelet before looking back at Wingy,
"then after I show off my chords of steel, you pull something out of your magic panties, that will wow any passersby for sure," Kat explained to the duel monster,
"awhoooo" Wingy replied,
"What do you mean you don't have your magic panties? That was one of the props I made for your costume!" Kat responded
"awoooo" Wingy replied,
"I mean I guess you have a point, you don't really have a pocket to put them in," Kat conceded as he rubbed the back of his head,
"What are you two doing?" a familiar voice asked. Kat and Wingy turned towards the voice to see Kat's good Sullicoot friend- Ben Fuller, dressed in a white uniform, wearing a magenta wig and carrying around a sword that Kat was pretty confident was fake,
"Oh hey Ben, I was just having a discussion with my co counsel," Kat explained,
"Oh cool, you're dressed as Apollo Justice this year and Wingy is dressed as Trucy Wright... though isn't Kuriboh usually the one who dresses up with you?" Ben asked,
"Wingy is a Kuriboh," Kat replied,
"no, I meant the non-winged Kuriboh," Ben explained,
"oh right, well he told me he was feeling tired tonight, so Wingy should go in his place," Kat explained,
"I see... well do you know what I'm dressed as?" Ben asked,
"uh.... is it like an anime where Elvis is a swordsman?" Kat asked obliviously. Ben couldn't help but chuckle a bit from Kat's outlandish question,
"not even close, I'm Asbel Lhant, the main protagonist from video game- Tales of Graces," Ben explained,
"Oh, then that explains why I didn't have a clue, I've never played any of the Tales games, remember last year when you had to tell me you were Emil?" Kat asked,
"Yeah... so how did you do your hair for your costume?" Ben asked,
"Well I dyed it a dark brown, then I styled it in that slightly All Might sort of way that Apollo has it," Kat explained,
"Was it tricky?" Ben asked,
"tricky is an understatement, you remember that one scene in Dragon Ball Evolution where Goku tries fixing his hair with gel and the gel just gets launched out of his hair due to how spiky it is?" Kat asked,
"uh.. no, I've never seen that movie," Ben explained,
"good, do yourself a favor and keep it that way. But anyway back to my costume, I thought my natural eyes would be perfect since them being red reflects Apollo's ability to perceive, so I decided to not use colored contacts," Kat explained,
"clever" Ben commented,
"what about your costume though?" Kat asked,
"Well, like me Asbel gains dual colored eyes during the Future Arc, but unfortunately neither of my eyes matched Asbel's so I had to use contacts, then I just used a wig since dyeing my hair blonde last year was kind of a hassle to undo," Ben explained,
"ah that's cool," Kat commented. Ben then looked around the area they were in before asking Kat-
"say Kat, what are you and Wingy doing in this part of town?" Ben asked,
"Oh I like this neighborhood since nearly all the owners just leave out a bowl full of candy since they can't be bothered to hand out candy for the kids," Kat explained,
"Kat... how many pieces did you take from those bowls?" Ben asked,
"Just one..." Kat replied. The three of them were then startled to hear an old man yelling in the distance-
"WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THE CANDY I LEFT OUT HERE?!"
Ben and Wingy then shifted their attention to Kat, who had a guilty look on his face,
"...hundred... I stole a hundred pieces, I used to be a thief, what were you expecting?" Kat asked. The trio then found themselves chuckling with delight, since it felt so nice to spend holidays with loved ones and make memories to look back on fondly.
