The first concept of a new species I'm working on: Mossters.
They are creatures that may be considered plants as their body is full of flora based fibres and moss grows on their body. Except for Ears, they don't have features like claws, noses, and Paws, which is why they use stones, wood, and other natural resources as accessoires to imitate animal like features.
Mossters come in different varieties, such as this feella: The Forest Dweller
They are the foragers and farmers of their Moss community. They take care of the Flora and fauna in their surroundings and try to turn dead spots into flourishing places for plants and alike. They tend to take the appearance of Canines, Otters, and Deers and like to use wooden materials for their accessories. Berries, mushrooms, and other forest plants grow on them naturally.
Unique feature: Evergrowing Life
Because of the ideal climate, Forest dwellers grow a lot of moss on their body. Mainly stored on the tail, they may use the extra body mass to modify their body to have extra limbs or increase their size. The huge biomass is also very friendly to other organisms, hence why they tend to have the most plants on their body.
