Had an idea after seeing the Abada Pony's in the most recent MLP IDW comic issue, of creating a Vampire Pony King with a horn on his nose instead of his forehead as a nod to the sword-nosed bat. He can use it just like a unicorn horn though his magic.

I actually don't have a name for him, but I like the idea that he's actually a reformed villain, someone Princess Celestia reformed back in the day, and is currently one of Tartarus guards. I personally would like to retcon how Tartarus is portrayed in the show, as I find it more logical to have more guards, guarding Tartarus than trusting one big 3-headed dog to do it. I also like to imagine that's what 'Bat' Ponys are guarding Equestria at night and keeping the baddies in prison.

He was at one point a normal 'Bat' Pony, but was angered at the other tribes for rejecting his tribe and not including them as part of the uniting tribes that form Equestia.

His reign of terror would occur during Celestia and Luna teenage years.

Word had gotten round about the power of these two an how they were living symbols of unity of the tribes. This angered him even more as these symbols of 'Unity' again did not include his tribe. And during his anger dark forces swept in, easily convincing him that the only way he could gain respect for his tribe was if he took control of Equestria by becoming an Alicorn himself.

It's not exactly known how he did this, some say he drank an evil potion that contained the blood from pony's from each of the tribes, some say he sacrificed pony's to gain his evil power.

No matter how the story goes he did become what is known as the 'First' Vampire and a 'false' Alicorn, he also looked a lot differently from this pic, this is technically his 'reformed' appearance as he was much more monstrous looking before Celestia helped to reform him.
