He basically represents the opposite end of Monster Eater beliefs from the rest of the family. Higher on the food chain so why show mercy, monsters are only good as servants till they're used up, they cause so many problems so may as well return the favor, humans who make deals with them are just as much to blame so they're on the menu too. That sort of thing.
