I did this particular pic recently while I was doing another piece for a buddy of mine (which I plan on posting sometime later). But for those who read the Archie Sonic Comics prior to the 2013 reboot (and eventually it's 2017 cancelation), then y'all should have an idea on who Manik Acorn is. In the Archie Sonic Comics, he's the possible son of both Sonic the Hedgehog and Sally Acorn.

Like what I did with Sonia Acorn, I decided to do my own take on the character. This version of Manik is how he'd look when he's 18 in the Sonic/Resident Evil crossover fanfic I'm writing called "Project: Sonic". I went over the details on the fanfic in the Sonia piece, but basically speaking, the fanfic would be a different take on the Archie Sonic Comic where Earth and Mobius are two different planets instead of one and the same like in the comic (with Sonic being transported to Earth instead of Thoraxia after the Xorda Attack).

While I was working on this, I was debating on how I wanted to design Manik's appearance in the said fanfic. In this case, i decided to give him a tuft of fur matching hair on his head and an auburn colored beard/goatee. But while he mostly looks like his dad, I decided to give Manik a chipmunk looking tail instead of a hedgehog one, to show he shares some of his mother's traits aside from the auburn color on his facial hair as well as Sally's blue eyes. Like the future version, as well as the altered 25YL/30YL segments in the Archie comics, Manik's the twin brother of Sonia Acorn. And another thing I decided to do this time around was remove the prominent diastema he had on his top front teeth (as some time before he turned 18, he had his teeth fixed in the fanfic I'm slowly writing).
