Sparsz Yumuna's breakout horror film long ago was what catapulted him into instant stardom. The film, titled Psychosis, was a step into horror inspired by psychological disorders, and personal recounts from mental patients. Yumuna remarked in an interview in Evenings with Rimula Jansei that most of the scenes hinged heavily on Sparsz's ability to improvise.
"Director Vetsashi simply asked me to just follow the filming crew, having me only in my underwear. He either made it specific, asking me to maybe go to a store and buy groceries and specifically a child's doll. Or perhaps it was vague, like, there's someone chasing you, ask for help. It definitely felt like those classic nightmares we all get, which sells the scene."
By the end of filming, Sparsz was no stranger to being undressed and in a public space, as more than half the scenes needed him to be as such. But as he remarks, it helped him in his ability to improvise, something that he says, aided him in his venture into comedy and romance in the later years.
"I think that since thousands of people have seen me in my underwear on the big screen, I can find it easy to laugh at myself and still be able to come up with jokes and punchlines. I'd say that my first few horror film roles were a big help."
