Okay, this piece is so ancient, I'm almost ashamed to put it up, but I still think it's a funny concept. Maybe I'll redo it at some point.
At any rate, everyone assumes that becoming a werewolf means you'll be kicking ass and taking numbers. No denying they can be formidable, but I usually consider wolves more lean 'n' mean than big and thuggish. So, this is what happens when a huge human guy finds the change ironic, to say the least.
And while I've mostly moved onto markers now, I REALLY like how the moon looks in pencil.
[edit: And this piece has been redrawn, something like ten years later...and here's a comparison of the two]

Oh thats just great. I'm sure I've seen this piece somewhere before, though. I guess since its so "ancient" that its very much possible, too.
At any rate I love the "lean and mean" look for wolves. I always hated thinking of them as, like you said, "big and thuggish".
So I really enjoy this piece. Makes me laugh X3;

It is a cool concept indeed. Even though it's an earlier work, doesn't mean it's not good. I really like the werewolf version of the big guy. He lost some muscle mass in the transformation and doesn't seem satisfied with the results. Like the color pencils too. The moon looks better in pencil than it would in marker. Makes it feel lighter than if it was done in heavy markers.
Thankee. Well, his clothing no longer fits (which, I realize, a lot of people here would find PREFERABLE ;-p), he's gotta be a little grumbly.
Yeah, I definitely would've had a harder time getting the moon to look as soft with markers...some things just need to be smoother, like the shorts and weights. And I'm too lazy to mix.

I saw this before and it's always been dear to my heart. I love transformations and wolf ones in particular. I hope if you do revise it you will consider making a sequence. It'd also be amusing if his werewolf self were quite different in personality, but not mean and evil, because that's WAAAAAAY too overdone...
Heh, that's actually quite funny. I always did think that, why not showcase the actual changes from human to wolf, other than the fact that it hurts like hell? Wouldn't the sudden extremely sensitive senses overwhelm him and turn him into a whimpering little ball of fur curled up in the corner? Maybe that's why they're often shown to be bloodthirsty beasts, the levels of stress from the overly hyper senses must be intolerable. lol
Y'know, I've seen a lot of transformation pieces over the last few years, and I don't mean to blow sunshine up your ass or anything, but this is the first one that I thought was really cool. Classy transition method, gets the point across, smooth, sophisticated.
A+. Would bid from again.

I've seen this several times before and, for some reason, preferred the wolf, even if the man is the one with the six-pack. Anyway, good job on being different and succeeding with it. Can't believe I didn't comment before. I think I might have more to say, but I'll say it later, maybe.
