Now I have several problems with the IDW comics, but I will be the first to admit that they often have good ideas or directions for story lines occasionally, they just drop the ball when it comes to commiting to the social message the show supported. Anywho, so one day Discord drops in on Fluttershy for a visit and forgets to close the interdimensional portal back to his dimension. Pinkie Pie chases Gummy into the portal, ala Alice in Wonderland, and loves it. The dimension follows its own rules though, and with the absence of Discord it latches onto the most creative and random being it can find, Pinkie, she gets the full power of Chaos and begins reshaping the chaos realm to her whim, which drains Discord of his power. Discord challenges Pinkie for the title of "Lord of Chaos" and eventually wins, through trickery. Things get fixed and everything goes back to normal, for Pinkie and Discord anyway.

But what if Pinkie had won the contest? Pinkie Pie loose in Equestria, with the full power of Chaos and still bearing the element of Laughter. There is an XK-Scenario for you, chocolate tornadoes that blow through town leaving decorations and sweets in their wake. Living pinatas that chase foals begging to be broken open. You get the picture, if that doesn't count as a nightmare I don't know what does.
