It's fun to see photos like this, the first thing that came to mind was south end of Birch Bay. I know that sight picture well. I would say you are near the north parking lot.

You know it well! South parking area between the campground road (across the creek) and the restrooms.

I covered that road a few times going from where we live on Point Whitehorn Road to Drayton Harbor Road where Grandma B lived. The last time I was there the area doesn't look how I remember it. What use to be hay fields is now homes or over grown with Alder trees.
