Jeeze it wasn't letting me upload for the longest time... and even now I have to upload the small version with the huge watermark. OH WELL.
Okay, so this is what I have been up to for the last several months. I wrote and illustrated a book to help kids who have lost a parent to cancer. It's not as sad as it sounds, I promise! About 95% of the people who have read it have cried, but not because it's omg depressing. Anyway. My dad died when I was 15 after a long battle with cancer, and my little sister was 6. I made this book for her.
Hopefully I will get the book up on my website today... javascript is so confusinngggg.

Wow, I just adore the style of this book. The paper cut-outs look great and I love how you played with shadows on layering of the paper. As a kid, I always loved books that featured art like this. Great work. Very touching and important subject, since so many lose a loved one to cancer. I lost my Grandpa to it.
This page of the book and the whole concept if wonderful. You've put so much effort and detail into this work and it really shows. I especially love the detailing of the characters hair, the plants on the windowsill and of course the bubbles! Also the depth you've created with cutout style work is awesome! :)
