I use a chisel tip black marker to paint it, which gives a pretty dark and uniform result already, but then I bump up the contrast and such in Photoshop for that final touch.

OK I HAVE TO ASK.. is that a "THICK tongue-Leech mouth" the thing has coming out of it's muzzle? ( and if so... is it a good kind < that just has little rounded nubbly teeth> or the "bad kind" < that has sharp, pointy, flesh tearing and blood sucking teeth > )
