"Foreign adventurers, traveling in eastern lands often warned by local folks about dangers of foggy mountain paths and distant sacred forests.
Along regular troubles like wild animals, old crumbling roads, tiny mountain paths... there is one threat that can easily took live of unprepared human or beast. Oni, large demonic creatures are often watching distant roads for lonely travelers. They are strong enough to beat even a squad of armed soldiers and really hard to kill. For lonely person, there is almost no way to win a open fight. If one of them block your path... pray that he will be in good mood, and not hungry. With luck, he will demand payment of gold, silver and food to pass... but often they prefer to entertain themselves, dragging their prey into their lair, sating their hunger with fresh meat and blood.
Always remember, if you see large figure blocking your path, turn around and flee, as quick as you can... that will give you better chances to spare the horrible fate of being eaten alive..."
