This ones based in the IBM AN/FSQ-7 now you may be wondering what in the flying flip that is, well I shall do my best to educate you. The AN/FSQ-7 holds the record for the worlds largest computer and will probably hold that record for the foreseeable future. It is actually two computers in one made of two Whirlwind II’s stuck together into one giant computer. I required 60 people around the clock for maintenance in order to keep it running. While it was first designed for the military it was decided that it would be of little use to them and thus it became the first prototype for an air-traffic control system.
