Dashing through the tall grass and rocky terrain, Mega Man Volnutt desperately rushes back to Kattelox City with the hope of reaching his surrogate family, Professor Caskett and Roll, before he possibly disappears out of existence!

While exploring one of the underground ruins on Kattelox Island, Mega Man came across a strange looking refractor emitting an ominous glow and humming vibrations. Against his better judgment, the young digger approached the abnormal refractor with great caution; however, that proved to be a big mistake. Before he could react in time, the refractor erupted in a blinding flash -- bathing Mega Man with unknown rays of light! It only lasted for a few seconds, and then it was over; the refractor now appeared to have powered down, and Mega Man was left blinded for a brief moment. As soon as he regained his sight back, Mega Man decided it was probably best to abscond this ruin for good measure, just in case there were any other bizarre surprises waiting for him down there. As he made his way back, the young digger noticed it was taking longer than it should have to reach the entrance where he started. Once he finally reached the starting point, Mega Man realized something was very wrong...because the entrance to the ruins appeared much, much more bigger and wider than he originally remembered. It was at this point that Mega Man took a moment to examine himself, and came to the shocking realization that he had decreased in stature; he was now roughly half his original size! As his mind frantically tried to comprehend what was happening to him, Mega Man suddenly remembered the malfunctioning refractor and that blast of bright light he was struck with. Whatever it was, it somehow caused the young digger’s entire body to gradually shrink! Not knowing how much more he would shrink, or how much faster it would happen, Mega Man wasted no more time and promptly made a run for it to seek help!
Present…
By now, Mega Man was no bigger than the tall grass he was rapidly passing through. And, after running for so long, he wasn’t sure how close he was to reaching Kattelox City, or if he was even heading the right path! The memory of the incident that had occurred which led him to his current predicament kept on replaying through the young digger’s flustered mind! He was so distracted that -- BAM! Mega Man winced in pain from running into a solid black wall which he failed to notice. However, as Mega Man quickly regained his focus and backed away a few steps...he discovered that this was no black wall, or even a wall at all. It was...a giant shoe -- a sandal, to be exact! A giant thick-soled sandal with a foot inside it; and it wasn’t just any foot! In fact, the more he gazed upon its massive size compared to his puny body...Mega Man recognized who this sandaled foot must belong to -- THE MUSEUM CURATOR!!!

And...the museum curator; she’s a minor character who only shows up a few brief times in the game’s story. Anyone care to guess why I chose her for this particular scenario? Anyone?
