This here's a new character. A wolf, based off a in-universe story about a wolf who wanted to get as big, even more, as the moon. Lupyna here has just as much desire, as well as the same goal in mind. Just, unlike the book, he has something of a ...different skillset.
Instead of having a pack ready to go, he instead has to 'make' one. And he does that, by marking any fur with his slobber. Demonstrated below with Roy, those he successfully slobbers are marked by a crescent moon of sorts. Overtime, from the start of sunset inwards, they start to gain weight spontaneously over time. Then, once night arrives and the moon hands in the sky, they turn into fat, hungry wolves, eager to gather/gulp up other furs to pack for their master. Those that survive the night 'without' eating any other furs turn back and the marking dries up, vanishing away. That would be it, more or less.
However, those that 'do' manage to get a fur down their gullet have the face of that fur marked on their belly. And when the sun rises, the moon marking stays put, alongside the faces of those he consumed. Furthermore, they continue to remain effected by the infliction, going through the process each nightfall. And, as one may expect, Lupyna ensures to claim the catch by gulping the wolf, markings and all.
Of course, if there is a distinct lack of lunar energy, Lupyna has a backup for that. A lot of the time, the wolf wears a night robe. This is because the moon mark on his belly has as much power as the moon itself, causing any inflicted within his range to spontaneously go wolf whenever its exposed.
Once a fur is marked, the only way to reverse the infliction is to nullify or reverse the magic Lupyna has on himself. By doing that, not only are the furs released from his control, but anyone they've eaten are released all fine too.
Should add, Lupyna makes it a point to consume furs, to obtain their energy/magic to help with his moon mission. Consuming food does 'not' grant him that boost, instead just acting as a weight on him~ :3
