I have been developing a new series which is much different from my usual Team Zeta fare, and this is it. This features my fursona, BUT, it's as a supporting char. This series revolves around my fursona's sister Cassidy. Set in the Chicago suburb of Oak Lawn, the story is about the adventures of a girls soccer team, and their lives on the field and off the field.
And here's a little bit about each girl (going counter clockwise from Cassidy):
-First, the cougar girl Cassidy Cross, team captain of the Oak Lawn Express. Dedicated to her sport and team, competitve but an all around nice girl.
-Next to her is the raccoon in a ponytail. Cassidy's best friend Christine O'Malley. She can juggle the ball the best of the team. Though she's mostly seen behind a video game controller. XD
-Next is the red panda Tracy Kim. She plans a lot of plays for the team. One thing to note on for tracy is that while she is a red panda, she isn't Chinese. She's Korean. I felt that there weren't a lot of Korean furries and I thought that it would good to have one. So yah.
-Then we have arctic wolf Mariana Guaraci. Originally form Brazil, her family came to Chicago and settled in Oak Lawn. Mariana is a talented soccer player but has a problem being a team player. she feels that she should lead the team and not Cassidy and doesn't hold many of her teammates in high regard.
-Now we go to the back row over to the tigress. No, Carly did not get a makeover. This is another tiger char, Karishma Chaudhuri. Very sweet natured, loves soccer, although her parents want her to be a doctor. It makes it difficult since she doesn't like to see blood. XD
-The cat goalkeeper next to her is Laura Esposito. A brash and loud personality who competes with Mariana as the atitude queen. Unlike Mariana, Laura is devoted and fiercely protective of her team.
-Next to Laura is Anna Piotrowski. Anna and her family recently moved to Chicago from Poland and opened up a Polish deli. She is very shy and doesn't speak a lot of English. But actions speak louder than words and Anna can be quite clever. Anna is the shortest member of the team, and uses her height to her advantage as no one can see her steal the ball form under them.
-Next is Keisha Webber, a gopher defender who is really light on her feet, despite her size. She and her friend Jesenia bring a lot of postive energy to the team.
-Speaking of Jesenia, she is right next to Keisha doing the fist pump. Jesenia Garcia, the bat next to Keisha, has lots of adrenaline and runs and flies around as if she doesn't have an off-switch. The real challenge comes from keeping Jesenia from flying around the field (Can't fly during the game, it's a disadvantage.)
-Going back down to the front row is Julie Rosenfeld, the fox girl in the glasses. Julie's father, the local rabbi, took Julie to soccer lessons as a way to get physical fitness and to get new friends. It's taken her some time, but she is slowly building her skills as a soccer player.
-Finally, the beaver girl is named Jaqueline "Jackie" Hebert. Jackie is originally form Montreal and came here to Chicago when her parents got transferred to Chicago. Jackie is more of a girlie girl and prefers shopping to sports. Nevertheless, Jackie always gives her all and does her part for the Express. A budding fashion designer, Jackie always gives unwanted fashion advice to her teammates, especially when it comes to the uniforms (her teammates don't want to run around with sequins though. XD)
That's pretty much a little bit of what I have about them. The designs aren't perfect and will be adjusted in time, but I drew it just to show what each girl looks like and who they are.
Also, I wanted to show diversity in animals and in backgrounds. Cassidy is German and Swedish, Christine is Irish, Tracy is Korean, Mariana is Brazilian, Karishma is South Asian, Laura is Italian, Anna is Polish, Keisha is African American, Jesenia is Hispanic, Julie is Jewish, and Jackie is French Canadian.
Heh. I drew 11 chars in a pic. I'm full of awesome! XD
Anywho, I just wanted to show a prevvie of this. That is all. Happy Easter.
All chars and art are mine.
