Hisato Nobuyuki was definitely caught by surprise when he saw an Impmon pop up on his phone. At the time, he never knew that the Digital World was under attack by a rogue programming that attempted to destroy and assimilate the data of Digimon. He was also unprepared for the Impmon, in the process of being attacked and fragmented by said programming, to cause his phone to glitch up and unleash a wave of digital data onto him.

The wave of glitched data, which was an odd mixture of Impmon’s information and the mysterious program itself, latched onto the boy and forced a strange transformation upon him, turning Hisato into a half-Digimon hybrid with the appearance of an Impmon.

Hisato would soon discover that with his new body and physiology, he could jump into digital devices and even travel to the mysterious place known as the Digital World. Due to his half-human physiology, he was safe from the rogue programming that was capable of destroying full Digimon. Due to this, he would quickly find himself thrust into the task of helping save the very fabric of Digital Existence.
