...I started this with the almost express purpose of showing how damaged Ben's right side is after he got blown up. I swear I did not intend for this to be a pin-up, but, ~here we are~, so I figured, "¿Porque no los dos?"
I also started actually keeping track of the time I spend on these things, and this one took about 31 hours total.
For once I'm very pleased with how pretty much everything turned out. The plating on his arm is made of some graphene polymer type stuff (NOT metal, too heavy) and is supposed to have a sort of matte satiny texture/sheen, and I FINALLY stumbled on the perfect smudge brush for that effect. Scars turned out great (burn scars tend to be very tricky to get right, and I had a friend who worked in nursing for a long time say they looked 100% perfect, so, yay), skin shading and texture turned out great, lighting turned out great, hair turned out great, everything just turned out really well and I'm quite happy with it.
Bless this ginger disaster, I do love him.
