A commissioned piece of the character Calorath.
I adored illustrating this image, particularly since the client gave me freedom to go nuts without restraints. I'm really proud of this, I've always found fire particularly challenging and to have completed an image where the fire is particularly important is an achievement for me.
I think this is a breakthrough in my rendering and lighting. Please feel free to comment/critique but don't burst my bubble too much eh?

One word can express how I feel looking at this, and that word...is speechless. The coloring is astounding. You can literally almost feel the heat of the dragons spine when looking at this piece. The pose is perfectly executed, as well as the lighting and shadows. Lots of details too. If I wrote exactly what I saw and thought when looking at this, the comment would take up a page XD Amazing job.
