Oh Equium, you love to make things difficult for yourself, huh? For the prompt "rip", I imagined what it might sound like if a normal piece of four-bar music, in 4/4 time, had been ripped along the far edge, taking half a bar with it! So this melody IS in 4:4, but there's only 14 beats in a line because someone has damaged the sheet music - and ever the professionals, the orchestra play it as they see it!

So this gets more complicated with the addition of double-time in the middle, which makes it pretty much 7/8 time, but then I put in one bar of 4/4 before the melody starts again, so now, the ripped page is in a different part of the tune! And it all builds up to one disappointing incomplete crescendo!

Note to self: Don't do this again
