All foxes can shapeshift. But the finesse and details of the assumed shape change with the wisdom and power of each fox.

Of the Kitsune, the nine-tailed foxes are the most adept at these illusion techniques, having had at least a millenium to hone their skills.

Kitsune can be tricky to deal with, mischievious and even downright malicious at times. But if you manage to befriend one, chances are you will not regret it. Foxes make the best of friends, the best of guardians... the best of mates.

Wanted to try something more realistic, so used a photo for reference (no way I could get a face like that otherwise - have you seen my fairies? They look like their features are chiselled instead of drawn) and then added the fox characteristics (this is still furaffinity, after all). I am kind of happy with the drawing, even if the end result looks nothing like the original photograph. I plan to return to the same picture once every few months, or once a year, to see if I progress anything, in regards to faithfulness to the source material.

Digital drawing, I just used a brush that mimics a real pencil, instead of a smooth line.
