I haven't watched Scooby Doo in a whole decade! By that I mean I saw one episode and the live action movie in 2008.

Sooo... now they go after REAL monsters?

The Phantom Virus was a real monster. He was created by a student at a university and then beamed into the real world. Then the student beamed Scooby and the gang into a Scooby Doo video game created by another one of the university's students. In the game, Scooby and the gang encounter the Phantom Virus along with some monsters they faced in the past, including the Creeper and Old Iron Face. The only problem is, that since they're in a game, the monsters aren't people in costumes... They're real.
