Many things surrounding this image in it's current state could be summed up with the title and phrase "Mad World",... but that's not really important right now,..
what IS important, or at least more interesting, is this is the first pic i've ever as vector art,... hell! it's the first time i've ever even used a vector art program!,... I think it came out rather nicely,..
i'll probably finish this pic, how ever it turns out, once i've got my commissions done and got some of my Tattoo stuff ready for sale :)

I installed illustrator once but couldn't figure it out. Sphelx use it to vectorise a few of my ealier pics (mostly the 2 I had done as tattoos that year) but I felt kinda guilty not being able to finish the pics myself, so taught myself to work with it :)
but now i'm wanting to do larger prints and stuff I think it could be really handy :D

Yes, Flash was really designed more for web and animation in mind. Illustrator simply wastes flash when it comes to.. well, illustrating. :p There are a lot of good books that you can find, but I'm self taught so it is definitely possible to just muddle with it until it makes sense. The pen tool is exceedingly powerful, and once you have mastered it, you'll never go back.
