I made this suit for the infamous
emejn who was looking for a more cartoony replacement for his original otter.
I started by creating a scale model in the computer and working out various styles of padding. Computer design is very useful as you can quickly switch between the outward look of the suit and the wearer within, quickly making trade offs between wearer comfort and appearance
I was able to come up with a design that allowed a very low crotch (down at the knees in fact) whilst giving the wearer a good range of leg movement.
The tail has an inflatable insert and is stitched in such away that it sways with every step the wearer takes. If you look at some of the videos at Confuzzled this results in some serious tail swishing. (Seriously, look at this bad boy in action - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EiI3B-EBBlY) =O)
The hat is removable and features a little latex badge I made of a skull and crossbones, with fish. (You can see it better in Namugriffs photo here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3842301 )
Thanks as ever to Emejn for commissioning me and to Tiger Tom for taking the photos.
I am currently open for fursuit commissions.

OMG, I have never seen a better otter fursuit. Seriously! The elongated body, the dropped crotch and subsequently shorter legs, the position of the tail - PERFECT! This is always my problem with otter suits: they're never proportioned right.
But this, this is genius! Awesome job!

Nope, the nose actually contains the fan and batteries so squeesing it is probably a bad idea =OP
The big secret is that the nose is removable and clips in place on a quick release to allow for recharging of batteries.
At a new years party I had some fun stealing his nose and replacing it with other objects, but since then I've added a locking pin, so don't try to unclip the nose. You'll just wind up with an angry otter =OP

Oh... Now THAT is pretty nifty! =3
Sure like the idea of placing the fan "in" the nose area.
ROFL... replacing it with other objects huh? I can just imagine you doing that sir Deezl LOL. Hmm... now how does that work? You can't unclip the nose from the outside anymore? And lol... I'll try to keep my paws OFF the nose sir... but I make no promises LOL

An even better view of the skull 'n crossbones can be viewed here in emejn's gallery: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3378367
WOW.
...*picks jaw up off the ground*
This, hands down, is the best quality fursuit I've ever seen, and also the first time I'm actually fav'ing a fursuit pic. You definitely made a real art form out of it, and it makes the other suits I've seen look like shoddy sports mascots in comparison. The low-slung crotch looks amazingly natural and not at all awkward, too...it's honestly hard to believe there's actually a human in there!!
Now I know who to go to if I ever get the nerve to get a fursuit made someday. Bloody amazing work, man!!
