...so i guess i'm posting old portfolio bits for a few days ...

A last couple pics from "The Halloween Tree that might have been" - the kids in their costumes with their masks pulled up to talk to each other. This pic is when there was full approval for the style - Ray Bradbury and Hanna-Barbera agreed that this was to be the style - but i was pulled from the project to redesign DiC's "Captain Planet" because the model artists they had assigned to do the re-design had spent over a month, blown the budget, and they needed the main character models re-signed within two weeks. One of my best friends took over as art director, and despite Brabury and HB approving my designs the producer had all the characters resigned. my friend kept all the essential elements of my character designs and changed them to a style the producer found acceptable. The producer never noticed her own spin on what the style could be.

The eventually produced version still had some elements of these ideas and styles - but... meh.

Not "meh"-ing what was eventually produced - it was/is rather cool.
