I grew up on the 1st gen xbox, i dumped hundreds upon hundreds if not thousands of hours on MechAssault 1 & 2.
If there ever was a 3rd installment of that franchise, where it's set in the BattleTech/Mechwarrior universe, it would probably look like this and play like the continent sized battles of Planetside2.
(excluding the focus on infantry and shifting the primary focus to tanks, aircraft, mechs, and specialist power-armor/elemental suits)

The mech you see resembles a MadCat, but is built after the Cougar.
