Funny thing is that the tower in the backdrop isn't actually an airport control tower. The top floor is Syrra's roost, Storm Peak Aerie, the highest roost in Storm City (as befits the Chief Ranger) and the bottom floor is an exclusive restaurant she owns, Storm Cloud. (And she makes some decent gilt credits off of it, even if it comes at the price of having her Chief's roost all decked out. Greenies!)

Dragon's Dogma reference; I played it way too much. The primary way to kill griffons in that game was to set them on fire to burn their wings off, then kill them while they were on the ground.

Damn, that sounds brutal when you actually type it out...

Well, this is a fully sapient griffin that's both the chief military officer and chief of police of her city. Trying to burn her wings off would NOT sit well with just about anyone there, least of all Syrra White-head. Particularly if you know the history of the Griffin Ranger world - such an act would be a straight out act of war and would generate an immediate and overwhelming response.

Just normal day-to-day wear. A shieldsuit would me much more complicated (which is why I haven't tried drawing one yet!)
