"Searching the Heavens" Starfields are vast and quiet and can bring out the loneliness in us all, or can bring out the thread of inspirations. We can look to the sky for freedom, for hope, out of sorrow or desolation, or just to enjoy the beauty the night sky unveils.

This drawing was done completely from the study skinds of a jackdaw and a female Australian Magpie. That means this is the first piece I have done completely from a "still life", though the colors aren't what they are in life. I still have a deep love for creating glowing images on black paper with colored pencils. This piece is entirely colored pencil, though I am tempted to go back in with some white paint to make the image pop more.

This was shown at FC. The scan doesn't flatter this piece very much.
