This is Ruahta, the Simic Hybrid ex-Marine Valor Bard. The campaign we are in does not have the lore-wise Simic Hybrids, so instead they were part of an experiment done in a kingdom to create specialized soldiers with magic. The only remaining of her kind are those still surviving members of her unit.
She now has to figure out what its like to live a civilian life, and isn't taking to it too well. She has since fallen in with a group of adventurers and that is working out at least a bit better... at least as long as she can rally them and fight along side them. It is the quiet day to day that is taking getting used to.
