Zaren... Azo rushed around, examining each body more closely until he found the other Minor. Damn! He knelt by Zaren’s body, several spikes lodged in his helmet and chest, and blood stains on his face near the wounds. Azo punched the floor and held his head in his hands. After a few slow, shaky breaths, he pulled his hands from his face and rested one on Zaren’s chest. “Rest now, brother. You died well.”

I've read some of your Halo entries and am amazed at the quality of each and every one, especially this one. Not only did you manage to make a fanfic that blended in with the events that transpired on High Charity shortly after Chief's arrival, but you managed to make it feel like a Halo story. From the atmosphere, the characters and their personalities (that I now want them to be canon), vehicle chases and fight scenes - not a dull moment!
