On YouTube, there is a "community" of so-called freethinking atheists. Atheist (like myself) try to perpetuate the image that we do not condone following anyone's word like gospel, and we do not condone death threats and other "extremist" activity.
However, on many occasions if you criticize the popular voices of Atheism in any way, (Richard Dawkins, Matt Dillahunty (The Atheist Experience), and YouTube celebrities like Pat Condell or (as caricatured above) Thunderfoot) you will receive mounds of backlash, death threats, hate mail and suppressive speech from "Atheist fundamentalists" who act very much the same way as those they oppose.
As a counter measure, I and others have proposed various "Days" like "Draw Thunderfoot Day", similar to "Draw Mohammed Day", in which the freethinkers demonstrate that they do not worship the popular voices of atheism, and that they too are not immune to criticism.

The criticism of Thunderfoot that I've proposed criticizes him for his apparent moral absolute that all forms of speech must remain uncensored.
Thunderfoot criticized Christian moral absolutes, saying that moral absolutes are absurd because there will always be some situations, however rare, in that it would be best to break a given rule for the greater good. The example he used was against the commandment "Thou Shalt Not Lie" in which he entertained the following hypothetical: Imagine you were hiding Jews in your attic, and a Nazi came to your door, asking if you had seen any Jews. Surely you'd lie and save the Jews' lives, rather than blindly follow every commandment at every turn.
This same criticism, however, can be used against Thunderfoot's belief in absolute free speech just as easily. In this same scenario, if someone held a sign up telling the Nazis where the Jews were hiding, censoring him would be simply common sense as it would save the Jews' lives as well.
To use criticism against a moral absolute he disagrees with, when it can equally apply to a moral absolute he agrees with, is a double standard, and hypocritical.

i like thunderf00t as well, though i disagree with his views on libertarians. he is just a man with his own opinion. i have heard about the zealots and i was absolutely disgusted.
although i do not totally agree with what you about TFs opinion of free speech i do agree with your idea of criticizing the idols.

Thunderfoot may not be aware of this, but that is one example of deception which is okay to do. The point is loving God and neighbor, and so it isn't so much against lying per se as against bearing false witness against one's neighbor. Lying to a Nazi about harboring Jews you know he's going to kill or have killed doesn't harm the Nazi, but telling the truth will harm the Jews. Therefore, what is the example of loving your neighbor?
