I must say I had a fun time with this one. Getting the white fur to have a nice reflection was a bit difficult, which is why I went for the orange street light. Of course, that descision made the rest of the alley scene spring up around it, and I think the final piece is better for it. Added in a furret because they don't get enough love. Walk on, long boi!

frankly i would love it if you could choose an anthro pokemon as your trainer.
Advantages, faster movement, and access to special places (changing into a pokemon would be accessible in the game, though not initially if you choose to play as a human)
side effects: you are counted as the sixth pokemon in your team, so that means if all of the other pokemon on you team faint, you get to step in.

it would certainly build on the lore in games where Bill changed himself into a pokemon, just at a more advanced stage. like it starts just be available just the original company's location, then to the pokecenters, and finally a watch version of it (like closer to the end of the game.) if a puzzle requires pokemon transformations a change machine will be there. (maybe a puzzle could be solved in human form first and then post game solved in pokeform, with a whole "Coming soon" sign on the machine)
to make it balanced you could only change into pokemon you have captured NOT TRADED, so completing that pokedex comes with perk. also this brings up things would people in colder environments choose anthro ice pokemon more, and warm place more anthro fire pokemon.
there is actually so much more that could be expanded on here, say the return of the puzzle house.
this wouldn't even have to touch the Mystery dungeon side of things either or maybe it could have a whole second game, where you save the pokemon world, from the pokemon's perspective.

The story potential is amazing here. Like say something has all the pokemon in a panic on the trainer side. Head to the pokemon side and find out there, maybe complete a few dungeons as well. Maybe a puzzle is impossible to do on the trainer side, head to pokemon word, new dungeon that happens to be named the same, clear the dungeon and head and find that the puzzle is solvable now. Say there is someplace like evil team base that you must enter without them knowing, time for stealth action as a pokemon (small forms are easier to hide, say eevee).
Plus there would be side quests galore, everything from "what is wrong with my pokemon".
And yes you don't always have to head to the pokemon world when changing into an anthro pokemon (though in the pokemon world you do revert to normal looking).
