I've been in both places.

While I quite like you, I figure that any friendship... with ANYONE... requires the ingredients of time, chemistry, and trust. If it will be, it will be, if not, I can still be a positive presence. Friendship mist be mutual... You CANNOT force it on anyone.

Friendship is earned but there has to be chemistry for it to work.

Well, use Vendel as an example. My massage and pampering broke the ice and earned me a few points, but to truly befriend a critter - especially one as smart as him - would require a fair amount of time and LOTS of positive reinforcement. Trust develops, then friendship. But it's like making a rich stew - many ingredients slow cooked over a long time.

One of my closest artistic friends is a lady named Krowsy, who is very shy and very slow to trust (for good and personal reasons). I knew her for 10 years before we became trusted friends and she STILL struggles with the trust part. With love, caring, chemistry and patience, magic can happen... and perhaps the most important part was that it benefited her too. Friends like her are very rare, but are priceless treasures.

I always offer to get to know people first before I ask if we can be friends, and if they decline, I will respect their wishes. Obviously forcing someone to try and be friends will make them avoid you.

I really love making knew friends wherever I can.

That approach has always worked. Hence why I've gotten so many friends, and even general aquaintances that aren't quite friends, but we chat here and there.

Totally how it feels like when someone be trying to act like acquaintances immediately. Acting ain't the real thing, so it no work and fails. I knows this though, so is always cautious at first. ^^;

That's why I usually take time and see how things go. If things click then that's great, and possibly new person to talk to \o/

Feels pretty much similar to randoms who write you and the second or third thing they ask is "do u rp?" It's weird sometimes.

Honestly spoken: If I would see a real dragon... well, that's pretty much what I would like to do. But (!) I would just stick with hide and watch, because of obvious reasons.

Also I'm anyway to shy to just go / write other peoples I don't already know. So, usually everyone's safe from me xD
