Ms. Evelyn was another creature that we didn't have all that much experience in dealing with. As has happened with us before, they were a species of more magical origin, and our use of science had overlapping areas. Ms. Evelyn came to visit us, explaining that she was a bubble fairy, something which I still don't fully understand. At any rate, her abilities allow her to manipulate air by encapsulating it within bubbles, or at least as I understand it. She was curious how our experiments compared to some of her magic. In terms of air, and it's manipulation, the only thing we really explore is the conversion of body mass to and from a gas state. In other words, when our treatments change someone into an inflatable of any sort, the body mass of that person is converted into air, for however long or short a time.
Ms. Evelyn was keen to see a demonstration, and so we agreed that she could sit in on a client's treatment. With their consent, of course. Everything was set up, we had planned to give a young woman a temporary treatment into an inflatable, and Ms. Evelyn was invited back to the laboratory. However, due to... unforeseen circumstances... involving a strong gust of wind... inside a closed room... There was a um... mix up. I'm still not really sure how it happened, but apparently some vials were blown around. Regardless of how it happened, we were surprised when Ms. Evelyn started to change instead of our client. Ms. Evelyn started to change, her skin taking on a shiny smooth texture. Before long the most severe change occurred, that being her body becoming lighter as it hollowed out. Before long she was an animate inflatable. We've had to arrange another appointment with our client, and we've insisted Ms. Evelyn stays with us until this treatment wears off. After all, we've never administered this treatment to a fairy before. We're not sure what risks this could entail.
